Cardinia Physio & Fitness offer a variety of Fitness Classes to suit your needs and to help you reach your goals.  These include Clinical Pilates, Pilates and Fitballs and Cardio for Health Classes. Each of our fitness classes are instructed by qualified physiotherapists who understand your body, your injuries and your goals.

  • Clinical Pilates

    About

    Clinical Pilates classes are run by physiotherapists who understand your back, posture and core stability. Classes can be adapted to suit each individual member reach their goals and work to their individual ability. During Clinical Pilates you will learn to activate your core muscles, improve your posture and strengthen your spine, important components in the rehabilitation of back pain. Due to the adaptability of the classes Clinical Pilates is suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. T&C: Classes run on a school term basis with an upfront payment required.  A $22 non-refundable deposit is required at time of initial term sign up.  A minimum of five participants are required for each class to go ahead.  Participants may be able to claim a refund via health insurance funds.  All participants are asked to attend a pre-screening before taking place in any class to ensure their safety and so the physiotherapist can provide best direction for all exercise. .

    Pilates and core training combining fit balls and resistance bands. Participants will increase their balance, core stability, upper and lower body strength whilst gaining balance in fun, group environment.  This class is best suited to pain-free individuals or those looking to progress to a more difficult class compared to Clinical Pilates.     Cardio for Health classes are designed to get the average person moving in a safe and low risk environment.  Participants of all fitness levels are welcome with the focus of the class to encourage fitness and to improve heart and body health.  Classes will incorporate circuit-style cardio fitness combined with some light resistance training.  Everyone will work to their own individual abilities to reduce the risk of injury and all classes are instructed by a Physiotherapist.   • Moving Older Bodies

    Moving Older Bodies

    About

    Moving Older Bodies is a weekly 40 minute fitness class specifically designed with the aging population in mind. Classes are led by an experienced physiotherapist who will help you maintain a healthy body, high bone mineral density, optimal lung capacity and general fitness. The gentle exercises will help you build confidence, increase strength and improve your balance and co-ordination. Meeting new people with similar conditions is also a big part of our class as we like to make it as fun and social as possible. We try to reserve these classes to people over 60 years of age to keep the class participants at relatively similar levels of fitness. Moving Older Bodies is suitable for people with all kinds of aches, pains and mobility status. If you have a mobility aid this is also fine as we cater to our less spritely participants with seated exercise. Also suitable for DVA patients.

      Physiotherapist

      Elisha Cole studied a Masters of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Health Science at Latrobe University. Elisha is a happy outgoing person who has always been passionate about helping others. She grew up on the Mornington Peninsula and has been heavily involved in netball since the age of 10.

      Elisha has always had a fascination for the human body; however it wasn’t until her own experience with a severe knee injury in 2011, that she knew she wanted to be a physiotherapist. This experience opened her eyes to the importance of trust, clear communication and motivation with health practitioners when overcoming an injury. This has fed her passion to help others in their own recovery from musculoskeletal injuries.

      Although Elisha enjoys treating a variety of different conditions, she has a special interest in women’s health, sports injuries, hydrotherapy and lower limb injuries.
