Before joining the team at Cardinia Physio & Fitness, Zlatko (Zee) has worked in several private practices gaining invaluable experience. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 2011 with a strong focus on sports and rehabilitation. During his physiotherapy career, Zee has been involved with elite and semi-professional level athletes in the AFL, VFL, and TAC Cup. He has been fortunate to work closely with one of the best high performance teams in the country and has since utilized the experience gained to help his clients achieve their full potential.
Zee firmly believes that an accurate diagnosis with a tailored rehabilitation program is the key to full and timely recovery. He uses several manual therapy techniques to manage his clients effectively and advocates that an active lifestyle is vital for injury prevention. He has developed a strong network of sports and orthopaedic specialists to help his clients get the best clinical outcome, and encourages multidisciplinary approach in managing complex patient cases.
Zee has developed special interests and skills in managing hip, groin and knee injuries and has recently taken an interest in the management of the commonly misunderstood ‘female athlete’. He also enjoys treating complex muscle, ligament and tendon injuries, as well as shoulder, neck and lower back problems. On top of the list above, Zee also really enjoys providing athlete screening assessments to help prevent and manage a wide range of potential injuries.
Currently, he is working towards completing the Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy with a view of commencing the combined Masters of Sports Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Outside of physiotherapy, Zee leads a very active lifestyle, enjoys his time with the family, plays electric and acoustic guitars, is a mad Essendon supporter, however being from an European background, soccer is his sport of choice.
