Cardinia Physio and Fitness is affiliated with Beaconsfield Football Club, specifically the U/19s, Reserves and Senior footy teams made up of players from Beaconsfield, Berwick, Narre Warren, Officer, Pakenham and surrounding suburbs. Our myotherapist Kaleisha works closely with the players, attending the team’s training sessions on Tuesday evenings at Holm Park Reserve, and their home and away games on Saturdays.
Game days consist of helping the trainers tape injuries and massage players before going out on the field to help reduce risk of injury. After games, Kaleisha provides advice on post-game recovery, assesses injuries and gives input on injury management or referrals i.e. whether the player needs to see a physio or their doctor.
Both our myotherapists and physiotherapists treat players with the goal of minimising injury risk, managing current injuries and improving recovery time. Our therapists treat in both the clinic and the club rooms, and communicate with the trainers regarding current injury lists and players requiring monitoring. We also regularly assist with taping and teaching the trainers new or alternate taping and treatment techniques.
We are proud to be actively involved with Beaconsfield Football Club and the Casey Cardinia Community. If you are part of a local sporting team and would like Cardinia Physio and Fitness to get involved, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
